RATIONALE
NMS will provide the Home Study Program as an alternative method of delivering education, which falls under the Flexible Learning Option, in accordance with the Revised Guidelines on Homeschooling Program (DepEd Order 01, s. 2022).
NMS - Home Study Program refers to the practice of educating children at home, typically by parents or guardians, rather than sending them to a traditional school. It is an alternative educational option that allows families to customize their child's learning experience based on their individual needs, interests, and learning styles.
GENERAL IMPLEMENTATION PROVISION
- The NMS-HSP Coordinator, in collaboration with the School Principal, will organize an orientation meeting for parents, students, SEWO Director, academic coaches, and subject teachers involved in the NMS-Home Study Program (NMS-HSP).
- The learners in the NMS-HSP will adhere to the same academic policies and regulations as regular students. They will also be subject to the tuition and other fees as regular students.
- Learners who are officially enrolled in the NMS-HSP have the option to transfer into a regular class. This decision requires endorsement from the NMS-Home Study Program Coordinator and approval from the School Principal.
- If parents of learners enrolled in regular classes wish to transfer to the Home Study Program, they must fulfill all the necessary requirements. These requirements will be evaluated and processed by the NMS-HSP Coordinator, and ultimately approved by the School Principal.
- NMS-HSP learners may utilize the school's equipment, devices, and facilities if they are not readily available at home. Proper scheduling and guidance for the use of these resources will be coordinated with the NMS-HSP Coordinator.
